Bespoke Traning

Bespoke training to meet you needs

Parliament

The increasing need for training to provide value for money, whilst being tailored to the specific needs of the organisation, means more and more people are looking for bespoke solutions to their training and development needs. This is where Westminster Explained excels.

We work with many Government departments, including DWP, MoD, HMRC, DoH, DFT and DCSF and DIUS. We also work with agencies such as Intellectual Property Office, Office of Rail Regulator, Defense Support Group, The Rent Service, Health and Safety Executive and Jobcentre Plus and various other organizations such as The Law Society, National Farmers Union, One North East and SEEDA. We have developed training on wide range of subjects, from parliamentary procedures, policy and communications, right through to assertiveness and management functions.

Our philosophy is to put you first. You know your staff and your organisation. Our dedicated training consultants can share their expertise to help you solve your training problems. We don’t use off the shelf material but work on your issues so that your staff are better equipped to produce results back in the workplace.

Our approach
Our approach is to take time to talk through your exact need. Once we have a clear understanding of your training need we can then talk to you about the best solution.

We understand your need to be cost effective

Our training ranges from two-hour masterclasses to two day training events. With the Ministry of Defence we have held on-site events on writing and briefing skills that not only met the needs of those wanting to improve their standards in this are but also those who will be tested at their promotion assessment centre.

We understand your need to manage time

We take care to find not only the correct length of the learning intervention but also when it should happen. With the Child Support Agency we held lunch-and-learn sessions. With Ministers’ Private Offices we have developed Friday learning when the Minister is not in the office.

We understand the effectiveness of different learning methods for different learning styles

Our expert trainers can adapt to the preferences of your staff. With DWP we supplement theoretical training on Parliamentary Questions with a visit to the House of Commons to watch their Ministers in action.

We understand the need for consistent high quality

We constantly review our trainers, training methods and training materials. With the South East England Development Agency we use trainers from both the private and public sector who understand the Agency’s role in dealing with both types of customer
